We know how important it is to take care of ourselves...but, our friends need reminders too. A lot of us, especially women, forget ourselves because we are so busy dealing with other parts of our lives. Some people never show their emotions, or ask for help, or always seem to carry themselves well & put together. We know that everyone needs some self-care. This message is so important to share with others.

With that being said, what can we do to help support our friends & family members who are struggling to make time for themselves?

I am a gift giver so I would create a basket or a box of goodies that are intended to help them relax & show themselves some much needed self-love & self-care. However, if you're short on funds, there are other ways to show support that can include a phone call to talk, get coffee together & chat at a local cafe, go over to their house with a small bouquet of flowers just because, a hug, sit with them & just be, bring them a notebook with a pen & encourage journaling...there's so much we can do for our loved ones. What do you like to do to help others?

What does a Self-Care kit look like? It can be anything really. Something small like a little basket or decorated box or even a gift bag or a drawstring bag...literally anything.

What are we going to put in it? Well, that all depends on what your friend likes. I would try to personalize it & gear it towards that person to make it more meaningful. I'll show you what I have done along with listing some other ideas for a wide range of budgets. This is not an all-inclusive list. There's so much you can do to personalize this gift. Maybe you're super crafty & will make your own scrubs, card, or even the basket! The ideas are endless!! (Refer back to the DIY Self-Care Kits post)

First, we need a theme for the kit besides it being a "self-care" kit. For example, will it be centered around a spa day? Or journaling/writing? Or even a good movie & a new mug for tea? Lots of ideas to think about.

Once you've decided on what direction you want to go with this, then, you need to start gathering the items. Make a list, if it's helpful for you, so that you can see your ideas on paper. Once you've done this, you will need a box or basket or whatever vessel you are going to use. You can decorate it or make it simple, again personalize it to your recipient.

Now you're ready to gift it to your person!

Let me know how it goes. I want to see it too!! Get creative!! 😊
